A busy weekend of competition for Mansfield Harriers saw the clubs athletes competing in the North Midland league at Shipley Park Heanor Saturday, the Booth Decorators league at Bakewell and Edwinstowe 10k on Sunday.

Six Mansfield Harriers travelled to Liverpool on Saturday to compete in the British Athletics Cross Challenge which incorporated the European Cross Country trials.

The second of the Nottinghamshire Mini League Cross Country competition was held at the weekend at the Grove Sports Centre Newark.

Another busy week of competition for Mansfield Harriers with club athletes competing on the country, road and indoors at the English Institute of Sport at Sheffield. The highlight of the week for the club being three of the clubs master’s being selected and running for their countries in the British Masters Home International at Dublin.

As winter beckons cross country becomes the main focus for Mansfield Harriers and last weekend saw the first of four events in the North Midlands Cross Country League at Markeaton Park Derby.

Mansfield Harriers had another busy weekend of cross country with the second of the North Midlands league at Corby on Saturday run in very wet and muddy conditions and the third of the Nottinghamshire mini league series on Sunday at Kings Park Retford.

Mansfield Harriers had another busy weekend on the roads with club athletes competing in a variety of road events. Locally one of the highlights of the year is the Ikano Robin Hood half marathon and the club had an impressive 15 athletes finish the course.

The English National Cross Country Relay Championships were held at the weekend at Berry Hill Park with over 1000 teams entered over the 10 age group events. The relays are one of the highlights of the cross country calendar with very strong fields and early season form being put to the test.

Mansfield Harriers competed at the Midland Autumn road relay championships at Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield at the weekend and in this year of success came away with two championship team medals.

Mansfield Harriers gained national glory at the weekend at the British Masters Cross Country Relay Championships at West Park Long Eaton.
